From its inception, the Mandal has been on the forefront in encouraging women to participate in equal measure in physical education activities and demonstrations as also sports of all kinds thus breaking many orthodox taboos on women in a traditional society. It runs special schools for tribal, girls and boys; trains deaf, blind and other physically challenged persons in sports, physical educational and other activities.

Besides, the Institute conducts special programme some of which are as follows:

• Diagnostic and treatment camps in tribal area and distribution of medicines to the needy patients free of cost.
• Rehabilitation programme for handicapped children affected by paralysis & other deformities.
• Sports programme for blind, deaf and dumb children & youths.
• Sports coaching camps in rural and tribal areas.
• Child helpline centre.
• Offering school education programme for 1200 tribal boys and girls.
